User Settings and Profile Image Video Tutorial (05:04)

Canvas users are able to change their default language and time zone. Users can also add a profile image and add registered services to their account (Google Drive / Twitter / …)

Open User Settings

In Global Navigation, click Account [1], then click Settings [2].

Click the Edit Settings button.

Edit the appropriate settings:

Language can be set to your native language and is the language you want to use in Canvas (does not apply if an instructor sets a specific language for a course).
Time Zone can be set to where you are located and displays assignments in your local time.

Click the Update Settings button.

Open Profile

In Global Navigation, click Account [1], then click Profile [2].

Edit Profile

Click the Edit Profile button.

Edit Profile Picture

To upload a profile picture, click the profile picture icon.

Edit Bio

Type your biography in the bio field. You can add hobbies and interesting facts about yourself.

Edit Links

To add personal links to your profile, such as personal websites, blogs, or portfolios, enter the title of the link in the title field [1]. Type the URL in the URL field [2]. Click the remove icon to delete the link [3]. Click the Add another link button to add another link [4].

Save Profile

Click the Save Profile button.
